Alrighty... It's my first official day of being re-unemployed, and I think I'm going to go crazy. After following up yet again with the two agencies I am listed with (the office work one and the substitute teaching one), I made an amazing breakfast for the hubby and me, I finished the 28 UP episode (more on this later), I put up some more Christmas cards (again, more on this later), e-mailed a "please pray I find a job" prayer request to our church in Atlanta, I trolled Facebook, I got caught up on everyone's blogs, I coveted lots of stuff on Etsy, I did two loads of laundry, I painted my nails, and I even went so far as to de-mold the underside of the bath mat. What else can I do?!
I know... I'll have another contest. Leave a comment telling me how you found this blog or how you know me or found me (if I don't already know) on any post between now and next Monday morning (the 17th) and I'll send you something nice. I'm not sure yet. It depends on who wins. :)
If you've never entered a contest before, your comment will get TWICE the chance of being chosen. How's that for incentive? Please don't be discouraged loyal commenters. I'm scheming up a loyalty rewards program as I type. Your time will come. Feel free to enter anyway just to boost my confidence.
In case you don't know how to comment, here are the directions again.
1) Click at the bottom of whatever post you want to comment on, where it likely says "0 Comments," or more hopefully "24 comments."
2) Type your comment in the box that says "Leave your comment." If you're not signing in with an identity (if you don't know what that means, you don't have one), be sure to type your name at the bottom, much like you would a letter. If you don't type your name, I won't know who you are.
3) If you don't already have a blog or are not logged in, under "Choose and identity," click the anonymous button.
4) Click "Publish your comment."
5) You may be prompted to type in a word verification. Just type the word you see in the box and click "Okay" or "Publish your comment" or whatever it says.
By the way, that tool I was telling you about before tells me that there have been a few visitors from places that I don't think I know people. So comment and introduce yourself!
TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA - You're coming to me from Kristi's blog, so I'm guessing you're a friend or relative of hers...
CHARLESTON, WEST VIRGINIA - I have no clue. I don't know anyone in West Virginia.
SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA - Caroline E., is that you? I looked on your FB page, but you don't have a hometown listed. For some reason, I think you're in Santa Clara.
KENYA - Um. No idea. The only people I know who live in Africa are in Uganda.
Leave a comment. Make a girl's day.

Nicole! I always thought you were cool, but now that I get to read/stalk your blog, I wish we could hang out more! We met at some point at ChristChurch, although I don't remember an official meeting. Perhaps it was through Sara through Nathan/youth group, or some type of women's brunch. Not sure!
Oh Nicole, I've become a faithful blogstalker (mostly through Lorie's site and facebook). I love living vicariously through your English adventures, though I'm glad to miss the snow and cold. : )
Oh geez... I, unfortunately, cannot remember the very first time I met you but that's okay because I know you can't either! You were just a newborn baby. I met your Mom when I took her sign language class at BC and she and your dad pretty much co-adopted me. I got involved in the youth group that your Dad pastored many years ago. I had/have the blessing of watching you grow and you really have turned into a beautiful woman who I admire. I truly enjoy reading your blogs (as much as I enjoy seeing Kristen's comments about June Bug, motherhood, and marriage on FB). It really is an encouragement to me to see you both doing so well and I love the fact that you both are taking different paths in life (at least right now) and still managing to be each others biggest fan. I love that. But the icing on the cake is to see you guys grow in your faith, independently of your folks. Thanks for letting me be a part of it.
Hugs!

Here's a comment. Please punch my comment/reader loyalty card now, k? Enjoy your time off Nicole, the Lord is still preparing you for something, no worries!
Oh yeah, we went to TU together too:)
Nicole, I hope you find employment soon! There's only so much you can do at home before you go crazy. We are taking excellent care of your little golfer. Take care. Love ya'll - EBQ
Mary Lou prayed the sweetest prayer for you during Sunday School yesterday. She echoed God's tender care for you and reminded me that no one is forgotten in God's Kingdom - especially very cold and bored Californians :-). I'll pray for trust and patience, as I need a heaping dose of those gifts too!
I'm obviously the most faithful reader on this thing! I've known you since I was born... blah blah blah :). I love you and hope I win something for once! June and I can't wait to skype soon.
Love- Sister
Reader/commenter loyalty? Heck yes! Hmm...when did I first meet you? I believe it was a lovely fall Bakersfield day. You had just moved back into town from college and my friends and I were short an Impact leader. We were not looking forward to getting put into a random group after having Cheryl Sowers. But, they told us we'd be put with a Sampley, so it couldn't be all that bad, right? So we met and we started having group, and basically you quickly became one of the coolest people I had ever known. We were a match made in Heaven. The rest, my friend, is history..... :) LOVE you!
I would like a punch on my loyalty reader card as well! Praying for much peace in the waiting! And for a wonderful job soon!
Well Nuckles, I too knew you before you were born.....loved you because we loved your Mom & Dad first. What a blessing you have been....you do know that you prepared Uncle Bob to become a grandpa don't you? Of course, Nathan is another story....because you love him we love him! (Besides, he has all that charm!) I'll be praying for that fantastic job....I can hardly wait!
love,
Aunt Deanie
I'm your stalker from Santa Clara! I love your blog Barbie!
I, too, have known you since you were born and have had such joy in seeing God's hand in every season of your life! Love and prayers...Robin
Nicole- I think your observations of your life over there are so fun! I've been reading for a while, but haven't commented before. I first met you at ChristChurch- but I don't remember specifically when.
Hello Nicole,
I am your blog fan from Tustin, CA. I am a friend of Anne and Kristi. I met you at Kristi's wedding. Anne told me I should read your blog when you were writing about your likes and dislikes in England. My son lives in London but does not share much with me about his life there so I really enjoy your observations. He was just visiting here at Christmas and mentioned man sized Kleenex. I knew what he was talking about-so thank you! I attend church in Irvine, Ca-the former church of Dave and Dale Arnesen who Anne tells me you know.
Please sign me up for your contest!
Marilyn Schulz
I just want to win something cool:)
