You may or may not have noticed that I've added some features to the blog.
1) Popular Posts: I was just curious which ones had the most hits. I was quite surprised to see that my 10-year high school reunion was #10.
2) Labels: I went back through the entire blog and gave each post labels so it would be easier for me (and maybe you) to find a certain post. Yes, I have that kind of time. Do you remember when I woke up in the middle of the night with a cockroach on my arm? Do you remember when that was? Me neither. That's why it got the "Scary Creatures" label, so you only have to look through five posts instead of 276. Do you want to see loads and loads of pictures of my precious niece? Just click on the "June" label and see all 42 of them in a row.
If you know me well, you know just how annoyed I am that the word "random" is the only label that doesn't start with a capital letter. I'm not telling you how long I tried to fix that.
3) Feedjit: Okay. I saw this extension on someone else's blog (I think Christy's at one point... it's gone now) and thought to myself, "I wonder who comes to my blog and where they're from and how they find me." This little tool will tell me when people come on and where they are located and sometimes how they got to me (Lorie seems to send a lot of blogstalkers my way. Either that or she blogstalked me six times yesterday, I'm not sure which.) The reason I put it on is mainly curiosity with a good shake of paranoia plus a dash of vanity. It's also a double-edged sword really, because if you scroll down to look, you can also see how much time I spend on this blog, which is really quite embarrassing (I'm the one in Biggar, South Lankarshire, wherever that is. I have no idea why it thinks that is where I am, because I'm not.).
I was quite shocked to see how much traffic this blog gets. I hardly get any comments, but really, really get excited when I do. Most of the time I think, "Is this even worth the time? No one reads it anyway." Well, you guys sure do turn up from everywhere, don't you? Ireland (?!), West Virginia, Washington, New York, Illinois, Alabama, South Carolina, Colorado, Arizona (Hi Allison!), and of course California and Georgia. Now, I know of only a select few who actually read the blog but never comment (my mom, my sister and Bev), which leads me to this question...
WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE? Will you leave me a comment and at least confess to your blogstalking ways? You don't have to be a technological genius or have a blog to leave a comment. Who are you? How did you find me? Don't be shy. I know you're there. Please don't stop reading though. Please?
If you don't know how to make a comment, I will now help you, so you are without excuse.
1) Click at the bottom of whatever post you want to comment on, where it likely says "0 Comments," or more hopefully "24 comments."
2) Type your comment in the box that says "Leave your comment." If you're not signing in with an identity (if you don't know what that means, you don't have one), be sure to type your name at the bottom, much like you would a letter. If you don't type your name, I won't know who you are.
3) If you don't already have a blog or are not logged in, under "Choose and identity," click the anonymous button.
4) Click "Publish your comment."
That's it. I hope to "meet" you soon.
4) Total Page Views Counter: Again, curiosity meets vanity. I'm sure more than half of those views belong to me.

Oh, you wouldn't believe how dedicated a reader of your blogs I've become. I watch for the alerts on FB and click every time. I find myself catching up on what you guys are doing, where you are--how you've ordered the VHS tapes--absolutely fascinating. The more pictures, the better! Be well. Thanks for taking all of us along with you. --Charles Qualls
LOVE keeping up with you on your blog, friend!! I tried to comment the other day but it wouldn't let me...I was going to tell you I was so jealous of your yummy scones you were enjoying :)Anyway, keep the posts coming, we love hearing how you're doing. Andre often asks me if there are any more updates from you guys and we love looking at your photos together!
I check your blog every day Nicole-well OK-maybe more than once a day :) We are so excited for you and Nathan to have this opportunity to live and go to school in England! Loved your "finding the place to live story" was walking in our Target parking lot with Geoff telling him about when you said "six dollars" to the lady instead of "six pounds!" Yes-your people love you very much.
Well I'm going to be one up on your mom and sister and RESPOND! I just discovered your blog and I only read a handful of them because I really don't have time but yours are worth the time it takes to read it. ;-) I'm always interested in other cultures and enjoy reading about how people adapt to different things. Guess it's the survival instinct in me. I haven't had time to read all 250+ blogs so I have no idea exactly what you're doing in England. ???
Thanks for taking the time to write these. Well written and entertaining! :-) oxox Kristen in Colorado.
Nicole, I recently started reading your blog after I found out that you guys were planning to move to England.
I love that you post so often and it's fun hearing about your new life in England and how you and Nathan are adjusting together. What an adventure. I used to blog much more often, but with 2 kiddos and one being under 6 months old, I barely have time to check my email these days! Maybe I'll get back into doing regular posts someday!
Blessings from the Barkers (now in Rome, GA!)
p.s. I also love reading about your obsessive tendency to organize. It makes me feel much more normal---as I am sure my need for complete and utter organization could be diagnosed as a disorder! :)
I have loved reading your blog lately (not that I didn't enjoy it before!) I am glad you are blogging your journey. I need to follow your lead and blog more, but these girls keep me just a little busy.
Hehehe:) I am the stalker from Augusta, GA. It has been super fun seeing what you guys have been upto since jumping across the pond. I showed Bo your talent show video and he loved it! Hope you all are doing marvelous. England looks beautiful!

I'm a stalker and proud of it! I love living vicariously through you and Nathan! You make me miss Durham! I am so glad you are settling in so well, such an answer to prayer. Be sure that you are both in our prayers and we think of you often. Please go to Vennels coffee shop and have a piece of their amazing cake for me... truly heavenly! Miss you lots, Hannah (your English friend from across the pond;))
OK, I'm an official stalker, you're in my google reader :) I love reading about your new adventures!
Hannah's friend Sara in Atlanta- I think it might say Jacksonville, FL when I read at work.
i'm your san francisco stalker! i check your blog every week day. :) love it, thanks for posting!!
Hi Nicole-
I have added you to my bookmarks and have been looking forward to reading your blogs every day! I studied abroad in London so I'm trying to live vicariously through you in the UK!
On a side note, I totally know what you mean about the Dove soap. I ended up having my mom ship me a bunch from home, haha. Just don't ship it with anything food related (it will all end up tasting like soap). My mom had included a really cute Halloween treat bag that unfortunately tasted like Dove. Hope you are having a great week!

Hey Nicole! I read your blog and love it! I am really enjoying reading about your new life in England! We miss you! xoxo
Guilty! I try and read it everyday on my lunch hour. It makes me feel like I am somewhere else because of the detailed descriptions you give when you write. I love to read about shopping and cooking in England. It's like my own mini vacation. Then I tell Ry and Connie about it so everyone is caught up on the adventure!

I don't know how to leave a dang comment! I would totally consider myself internet savy as well....

I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TODAY IS A GREAT DAY :). Was I stupid? OMG. Thanks for the step by step genius.
Love u- Sis again.
Horners, checking in. Just curious about how Americans live in foreign countries. We certainly don't miss you, no, that can't be it.
i DO read your blog, but not 6 times a day. but i might be the worlds worst commenter. :(
I'm definitely a faithful reader and subscriber. I've always loved your stories and I'm so thankful for the blogosphere, even if it is kind of like stalking people sometimes!
Confessions of an Irish stalker-I found you on Christy's blog and have enjoyed catching up on you and other folk we met in Christchurch in summer 08.Very interested in your move to England and how you find your new experiences this side of the pond.If you would like a trip to Ireland any time give us a call - we have a spare room and live in a very historic and pretty town.Hope you remember us by the way.Our daughter Hannah had great fun at your house with the young people!!Wish you every blessing.Elaine Moore
Well, you just figured out the other day that I was one of your blogstalkers:)
I love all your pics and stories.
Also, I am very bad at commenting. And I put a counter on my page too because of my lack of comments and I wonder if it's worth it. Then I remember I can make my blog into a book. So remember to tell all the stories you don't want to forget so you can make a book out of it!
I have to comment on THIS ONE TOO? Gee whiz...so demanding. :) I thought my top 5 list on the following post was quite classic, but I suppose I'll add one here too. And no, the "writing voice" change is no where near annoying, it's wonderful. I loved hearing the way your speaking (and writing) voice changed ever so slightly when you moved to GA, and I love hearing the bit of British come out in you now. Thanks again for all the fun posts. Now pull my name out of hat, dang it! :)
Hello from the ATL! It is me, identifiable by the initials preceding this comment. First, I cannot believe you've been in England six weeks! Secondly, I am fully in support of adopting English phrases. I think it is positively lovely how often they use the word lovely. And I think I may start describing things as "absolutely top drawer". That may be my favorite yet. Thinking of you often and ABSOLUTELY living vicariously through your great adventure. (Although not as much through the annoying red tape part...I read that and realize that my "back-up plan" of moving to London may take a bit more planning than I thought...) Keep the stories and pictures coming!!! Sorry I don't comment more. You are on my reader and thus, I promise I read every post.
