Ok, ONE More!

'Nuff said!

Just One More

Papa Samp with Junie. I just can't get over how much June looks like my sister! Thanks to Mom and Sister for sending me the pictures. I miss you!

New Family Pictures

Uncle Matthew came to Bakersfield for a visit a few weeks ago. I love this picture of him with June.

June gets the big chair while Matt watches TV from the steps.

Get a load of June's face!

Matt and Kristen

If this picture had been taken in 1983, the little baby in the Bumble would have been my sister.

This was my Cabbage Patch doll, Lynn, but now it's Junie's! It looks like June's been giving her lots of slobbery kisses.

Josie and June. Oh my...

June's friend Emory is quite the princess and already loves makeup and all kinds of pretties. Here she is trying to put lipstick on June.

La Bomba Es Buena

So, remember when I got my A+ report card and then my A++ report card? Well, this is my A+++ report card. My A1C is now at 5.4%. A person without diabetes would register at about 5.5%. Nathan thought this new number meant I was cured, but it just means the pump is working really well. This blood test was done with after only two weeks on the pump, and it's an average of my blood sugars for the last three months. I'm hoping to keep it about where it is now forever. We'll see... :)

Nathan and I cleaned out the laundry room last night, and I had the thrill of throwing out all of the needles I used to give myself insulin injections. They filled this jumbo sized can of Lysol wipes. Nathan joked that we should throw them in the river in the back yard. KIDDING! There's nothing like finding needles by a body of water ("hypodermics on the shore" - name that song!).

And here we have Nathan posing with the needles, feelers down. I'm so glad I don't have to deal with all of that junk anymore! PTL for insulin pumps and modern medicine/technology.
