We're Safe and Dry
If you've been watching the news, you probably know that much of Atlanta was under water. Nathan and I are safe and dry, and there was no damage to our house or property. The little "pond" behind our house is now part of the Chattahoochee River, as it overflowed its banks by over 20 feet on Monday afternoon. So many roads (including all of the major interstates around the city) were overflowed with water, I got the day off of school yesterday!
Nathan and I went to the bridge about half a mile away from our house, and we took lots of pictures. I'll post some when I remember to bring the camera to school.
Praise God for our safety!

Have You Ever Been to a Taxidermist?
We're taking suggestions for what to name this guy. I think we may officially vote at our annual fall party, which is taking place this November. If you want to cast a vote online, just comment on this post.
A Lizard in the House
Women of Faith With Mary Lou
My cousin, Robin, and Aunt Deanie and some of their family went to the same conference in San Jose a month or two ago, and when I read about it, I was so excited to go. Of course, my camera battery was low at the actual conference, so I didn't take any pictures in the venue. However, you can read about it here at my cousin Robin's blog.
One of the many highlights for me was seeing my favorite musician, Steven Curtis Chapman. My Aunt Deanie introduced me to him when I was in the 4th grade, and I've loved him ever since. I decided then, at age 10, that I wanted "I Will Be Here" sung in my wedding, and it was! His concert was absolutely amazing. I pretty much cried through the whole thing. :) His daughter, Maria, was killed in a tragic accident about a year ago. She was adopted from China and had just turned six years old. He wrote a new song about her, and it brings me to tears every time. It's called "Heaven Is the Face," and you can watch/listen to it here. Holy moly. Listen right now.

How Can I Resist?
My sister says that since June came to visit me, she hasn't stopped sticking out her tongue for the camera. I think she's taking after her auntie's friend Kristi. :)
This picture just kills me. She's already got a fake smile. :)
June's got her Halloween costume already! Hilarious!
Hey June Bug!
I love bathtub pictures.
She always has some hair accessories.
