So, I've got work tomorrow and Friday in South Shields at a "rougher school," according to the supply agency. Wish me luck. Prayers would be even better.

Every once in a while there will be a gem like this at a charity shop.

Um that's adorable! Praying for your subbing days. Have you considered bringing a jar of candies like M&Ms. As soon as the students walk in, give an M&M to the student who is sitting nicely and praise them. Maybe the other kids will want candy?? I'm sure you've tried everything. That's just a strategy that works really well with my students and is pretty inexpensive.
