Thank You MLK

Last Wednesday morning around 10, a delivery man came with a package. I was a little embarrassed because I was still in my mother's flannel snowman pajamas (she forgot to take them home when she was here on her visit) and my fluffy white robe. "Oh well," I thought. "What are the chances that I'll ever see him again?"

Answer: Quite good. I saw him again. Yesterday. In my mother's flannel snowman pajamas and fluffy white robe. Doh!

The good news is that he delivered a package from our dear Mary Lou! In addition to her part time job praying for us, she also sent us a package full of love, love, love! We each got a little Valentine's Day gift and lots of other goodies. I was so excited about it that I didn't even wait for Nathan to come home before I opened it. It was one of those nights he stayed at the library until it closed, so I texted him to ask if I could open it without him. Thankfully he said yes, because I already had some thin mints in my mouth.

Mary Lou, thank you SO much for spending the time and money to send us that box full of love! We appreciate it so much and love and miss you like crazy.

Whoa baby! That's a lot of love!

Some sugar free snacks, fully endorsed by the JDRF.

Holla atcha girl scout thin mints! We pulled them out for our friendly neighborhood archivist, Francis, on Thursday night, but he's not a fan of mint. Travesty!

What what! A fresh clean box of 64 Crayola crayons...

with the sharpener in the back. Bonus! I've decided to make my box of 16 from my MIL my travel box, and this box will stay at home for safekeeping.

I read that Altoids were created in England, but I can't find them here, so thankfully I can now have clean smelling breath.

Another treat that was in this package from MLK was the movie Inception, which I wanted to see over the summer but didn't. You know... planning and executing an international move in 10 weeks kind of took up my time. Anyway, I put it in my computer straight away and...

I'm laughing close to hysterically because the delivery man came to the door again JUST NOW with a package of peanut brittle treats from Kim, and can you guess what I'm wearing? Yep. My mother's snowman pajamas and my fluffy white robe. If I wear my regular clothes next time, he'll probably think he's gone to the wrong barn.

Back to the movie... I watched Inception on Wednesday night, and Nathan watched it with me in bits and pieces (he kept falling asleep, ironically) on Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday. I loved it, but I haven't had a peaceful night's sleep since then. I think I'm going to have to make a totem. Maybe it'll be a crayon.

Don't forget "Peel back crayon wrapper from crayon before sharpening..." That's as obvious as the sign next to the hose on the back of the concrete truck--"Non-potable water. Do not drink." Is this a big problem?
