I think I forgot to mention that my mom, sister, and Baby June accompanied me to my quarterly endocrinologist appointment while they were here, and I decided to get an insulin pump. My doctor told me that it would take 4-6 weeks to get it, but it arrived on Tuesday, two weeks later. I'm waiting for a phone call from the pump company to make an appointment at the hospital to get trained to use it, but for now I'm just staring at all of the equipment piled on the table. I've heard it takes a while to get used to and that I'll feel kind of yucky while I get it balanced out, so I'm hoping to do it ASAP before school starts.Allison, would you like to come out and document this transition like you did the insulin injections back in October?
And on a very bright note, my sister-in-law, Hannah, hosted a wedding shower at our house on Sunday, and she left behind the flowers she arranged. Isn't she talented? I've been enjoying them all week long...

So exciting! I can't believe it came so fast. It was great meeting you after the shower too. Hope the transition to the pump is smooth for you!
Remember my freshman year roommate, Sarah? She had an insulin pump, and I can remember her explaining it all to me. I'm sure the technology has changed since then, but I really hope it works out for you! I'll be looking forward to hear how it goes...
Ahhhh :) What is the update? Do you have an appointment set yet? I am excited for you! It has gotten better this past week for me. My mornings are within range now so things are becoming more "normal." Can't wait to hear.
