Nathan had long expressed the desire for me to cut his hair, so for Christmas, I bought him some hair clippers in a cool little set. We put off cutting his hair forever and ever until it was just a huge mop on top of his head. It was time...
We started off the evening with idealistic dreams, represented here by our blissful kiss.
I think it's impossible for Nathan to have a genuine smile in front of the camera. His hair was just about as scary as his face.
Needless to say, I was completely ignorant about cutting hair. I had never done it before, and I was kind of scared. Nathan was encouraging... at first.
Then, he got so irritated with my perfectionism, he took the clippers into his own hands.
I never knew that a simple hair cutting experience could stir up so much sin in my heart. We started off with such hopes and dreams, and then I wanted to gouge his ears with the clippers because of his constant "tips." :)
I was getting more confident as time progressed.
This is the finished product. I'm still obsessed with his hair, my eyes drifting from his when he's talking to me to look for stray long hairs I may have missed. It's getting better with time though.

You're on your way to a successful marriage when you can survive a home hair cut=) I actually did a take off a nice size chunk of hair above his hair once...I had to hear about it until it grew out=) But good job Nicole!

We also cut Ricardo's hair from home - he does the electric clipper and I do the trimmng with the scissors - it makes for a nice team effort :)
This was really funny. I hope to meet Nathan one of these days! I cut Joel's hair sometimes too, but only if he's ready to have his head shaved. Usually in the summer time. We've had our share of arguments about it since I am like you and want it to be just right. He thinks I do it too slow. Oh well. Saves us some money!

Wow that was a quite the haircut! You guys look happier than ever! I just got a blog last week & found you on Cargill's page. I didn't realize how much I was missing out till I got one!
